What's in My Bag?

I recently bought a new bag, as I was in desperate need of a large-ish handbag that was simple but nice and was able to hold all of my stuff for uni (books, laptop etc.) So I decided to do a little 'What's in my Bag?' even though that wasn't actually that much in my bag.

The bag itself is from H&M, it was £34.99 which in my opinion is a good price for a handbag but quite pricey for H&M, their bags usually being around £20. However, this bag is much stronger, sturdier and better quality when I looked at it against other bags in store, and can carry all my stuff easily so I'm hoping it will last me a while! They also had the bag in pastel blue and a creamy/white colour, I wanted them all! I may also purchase the cream one at the end of this week as I was torn between the two and can't stop thinking about it.

I cleared out my bag and the contents was as follows (sorry if I do not know prices of everything some things I've had for a while or were gifts):

1.What is your favourite drink?
My favourite drink is Fanta Fruit Twist! Or Green Tea.

2. What blog do you often read?

3.What is your favourite holiday?
Christmas always!

4.What item do you overwear?
I have a lot of baggy jumpers which is pretty much all I wear and all I buy!

5.What is your favourite lipstick?
My favourite lipstick is  the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight.

6.What's the best book you've ever read?
The Hunger Games trilogy are the best books I have ever read.

7.Do you have any quote you try to live by?
Not so much a quote but recently I've been a big believer of only doing things and surrounding myself with people who make me happy- can be difficult to do but I highly recommend it!

8.Where would you like to be in 5 years?
This questions scares me because I have no clue ahhhh.

9.What's your favourite clothes shop?
H&M because you can usually find a few nice things for a bargain!

10.What's your favourite beauty product?
My fave beauty product ever is the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes! I could not live without nail polish and this is my favourite collection, I love the red one.

11.What's something you've never done but really want to try?
Skiing! Or surfing! (would be useless at both)

12.Why did you start blogging?
It was my new years resolution-ish! (read more in my first post) And I need to fill my time with something else rather than watching television series.

13.If you could never fail, what would you do?
I'd do something like act in a big film even though i'm probably a terrible actor or release a own single even though I can't sing! Or become Beyoncé. Or take part in the Olympics or run for Prime Minister. I think I've over exaggerated this question.

14.Instagram or twitter?
Instagram, I love stalking peoples pictures!..creepy

15.What are you looking forward to most in 2014?
I'm looking forward to all the events and holidays this year and summer! But not to finishing my first year of uni, its gone too quick :(

16.What are you most proud of?
Probably getting into university I was lazy and thought I was going to fail my exams (don't be lazy)

17.Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert!

18.If you were invisible for the day what would you do?
I would break into Kris Jenner's house and steal all of Kendall and Kylies clothes and handbags and snoop around their home. Actually I'd do this to a lot of celebrities.

19. Favourite place?
The countryside! Which is where I live and the zoo I love animals.

20.How do you stay inspired?
I have a lovely bunch of friends surrounding me which I think help do the trick.

Kylie Jenner Everyday Make Up

Hi everyone! So as a disclaimer I would like to note that I know this post is extremely 'unprofessional' (poor quality photographs, poor unnatural lighting, band of light down my nose, big spot in between my eyes etc. etc. the list could go on) and I know that I in no way look like a Jenner/Kardashian (I'm blonde, pale and lacking in a Kim K bum). BUT I am a huge Kardashian worshipper & I saw a picture that Kylie had uploaded on Instagram of her and Khloe, where I really liked her make-up! And as usually everyday I wear quite a minimal, natural face, I decided to go abit out of my comfort zone this afternoon for when I popped to town to do some shopping!

I used all drugstore products to create this look and tried to use the cheapest drugstore products possible! I loved the contouring, full-lips and simplistic eye that Kylie had going on. I did not try to copy this make-up completely, just took some inspiration from the photo, this is in no way a tutorial on how to get her make up! But below shows what I came up with.

I liked this look as the contouring made my chubby face look thinner and brought some life to my non-existent cheek bones! I had to use fake eyelashes as I am one of those unfortunate souls with the shortest lashes ever, and I did not touch my eyebrows as I am currently in an awkward stage of growing them out (I'd appreciate any tips on this). Below shows the drugstore makeup I used and left-right is the order I applied it in.

7.Bottom left cream colour all over lid & bottom right brown used in crease from MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Heaven and Earth £4

8. No 7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil in Black £6.99

9. 2True Glamour Lashes £1.99!!

10. Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in 100% Black £7.19

11. Elf Cosmetics Long Wear Lip Liner in Mauve Luxe £1.50

12. I then applied some normal Vaseline to my lips

 

All of the products I mentioned above I'd highly recommend as I think they are so brilliant for the price you pay! I realise a majority of my products are from Elf which can't actually be bought in store anywhere (well I don't think you can in the UK) but I recently bought a lot from their website and love everything as its so cheap but such good quality. I would also like to point out that the No7 pencil is quite pricey (well in comparison to the other products) for an eyeliner but I bought it with a half price voucher, I would recommended the Natural Collection or Rimmel eye pencils which are cheaper but just as good!

Day 2 // Being Lazy

So its currently 14:10 and I am still in my little university bed. Seeing as I had a pretty poor day yesterday, and I can hear torrential rain outside my window, I've decided to have a lazy day (will attempt some work later maybe).

I have set myself up in bed with some episodes of pretty little liars (if you haven't seen this tv series you NEED to!) and a lot of fashion magazines and I'm not planning on moving for the most of today.

So I'm spending my day being a hermit what are you guys doing? and how do you like to spend your lazy days?

Hello

I don't know where to begin this blog. I said that as my New Year's resolution I would start up my own blog or Youtube channel, because usually my resolutions are to eat healthy or go running, but I never do those so I then downsized to walking the dog more but I never did that either so I decided to do this as I've quite fancied it for a while now.

And seeing how it's now mid-February that didn't work either.
The real reason I've began this then is because I got dumped (awwww). And after a day of moping around eating chocolate (currently a share bag (share?!) of mini rolos) and googling Cosmo's 14 ways to 'get over him quick', I decided to do this to have a place to write down my thoughts and something to fill my time so I'm not stuck watching romcoms all day (Already watched clueless, the hot chick and the proposal this evening). Although all three of those are CLASSICS, I thought that there was no better time to start this than now.
A fresh start and all that.
